DISPLACEMENT

Displacement is a work about movement that brings together a combination of contemplative images, family photographs and snippets of dialogue. It maps out parts of journeys in multiple peoples lives in a non-linear way, bringing about a new story that combines them all together. This story holds aspects of a search for self and identity, as well as taking a mournful look into the past. Drawing on the modern mindset that we have to keep moving in order for life to have a purpose, Displacement is a photographic work about slowing down and simply taking in our surroundings.
